Jeff Kester and Black and <br />Veatch recommended to Council Drymalla Construction Co., Inc. of <br />Columbus, Texas in the amount of $1,741,747.00 (Base Bid). Mr. Farr <br />moved to award the bid to Drymalla in that amount and encouraged <br />Drymalla to work with Butler if possible and Mayor Younger seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid the <br />S. McKie-Barbara Drive Water Main. Ms. Kissler moved to authorize <br />bidding and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously <br />(Mr. Guerra not present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid the <br />Mimosa-Brown School 12" Waterline. Mr. Farr moved to authorize bidding <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Guerra <br />not present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pursuant <br />to Article 6252~17, §§2(e) and (g), V.T.C.A., to discuss contemplated <br />litigation and matters where the duties of the City Attorney to the <br />City pursuant to the Code of Professional Responsibility of the State <br />Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; complaints or <br />charges against a public officer or employee, respectively, and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Guerra not <br />present to vote on this item and left the meeting at this time - <br />11:29 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved the Council reconvene and Ms. Kissler seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously (12:15 a.m.). <br /> <br />The Council continued consideration of the Ordinance on third and <br />final reading abandoning and vacating a portion of a 16' wide alley, <br />being that portion which abuts Lots 33 and 34 of the Second Division <br />of Park Addition in the City; authorizing the Mayor of the City to exe- <br />cute Special Warranty Deeds; reflecting payment of the fair market value <br />of $180.00. The City Secretary advised the Council abandonment of this <br />alley had been considered and tabled by the Council on July 31, 1978 <br />and on November 14, 1985. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance <br />on third and final reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion.
