RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -26R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />SUPPORTING THE ADOPTION OF LEGISLATION TO AUTHORIZING THE STATE <br />OF TEXAS TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF THE BED AND BANKS OF THE SAN <br />MARCOS RIVER WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council supports the adoption of legislation authorizing the State <br />of Texas to convey the bed and banks of the San Marcos River within the corporate limits of the <br />city to the City of San Marcos. <br />PART 2. The City Council respectfully requests Senator Judith Zaffirini and <br />Representative Jason Isaac to introduce bills in substantially the same form as attached in Exhibit <br />"A" in order to achieve the purpose set forth in Part 1 of this resolution. <br />PART 3.
