<br />8 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />May 11, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY RE- <br />PEALING THE 1976 FIRE PREVENTION CODE AND ADOPTING THE 1985 STANDARD <br />FIRE PREVENTION CODE AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on third <br />and final reading (Item l3B-4 removed from consensus), the caption which was <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THAT ORDINENCE ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1986 WHICH SET FORTH <br />AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE <br />UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1986 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1987, AND <br />APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FINDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ES- <br />TIMATE, TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS, <br />ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved to adopt the Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Nicola asked if the County was still going to adhere to the agr~ement. <br />City Manager Gonzalez stated they would Mr. Nicola asked for clarification <br />regarding funds for Gravel Street Improvements. Mr. Boeker responded ap- <br />propriately. Mr. Nlcola wanted the record to show that the County had agreed <br />to pay $26,000.00 towards Base work on Gravel Street and that the total cost <br />to the City would be $59,000.00. The current ageeement does not reflect a <br />commitment from the County in that amount and it also excee&the cost to the <br />City by $5,000.00. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT PERTAINING TO <br />WATER WELLS BETWEEN SAID CITY AND HANDLER SMITH, AUTHORIZING ITS <br />EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved to table this item until the May 27, 1987 Regular City <br />Council Meeting and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the followin~ <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE Brown, <br />NAY None <br />ABSTAIN Nicola <br /> <br />Farr, Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL 1942 AND SENATE BILL 1046 BE- <br />FORE THE 70TH SESSION OF THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the <br />motion which passed unanimously.
