2.04 County shall submit to Federal and /or State agencies applications for reimbursement for all <br />debris picked up by County contractors within city limits. If City has other expenses for debris <br />removal which were expended outside this Agreement, City shall cooperate with the County to <br />submit those expenses as a part of the County's application. City shall provide to County, and <br />thus to the appropriate Federal and /or State agencies, documentation to support such expenses <br />and to show that such expenses do not duplicate expenses submitted by the County. <br />2.05 County shall provide regular operational updates on the status of disaster debris removal <br />operations to include completed areas of disaster debris removal and estimated completion <br />timelines of the remaining areas. <br />2.06 The Parties recognize that, during the period of emergency response that has preceded the <br />effective date of this Agreement, they have cooperated in and around the city limits of the City. <br />The Parties have consented to perform the preliminary stages of debris removal in a cooperative <br />manner, and each governmental entity hereby ratifies any actions taken by its agents that may <br />have provided cooperative assistance within the jurisdiction of the other Party from the date of <br />the Declaration of Local Disaster issued on May 24, 2015. <br />ARTICLE III. <br />HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE <br />3.01 The County's contracted debris - hauling company will collect any household hazardous waste <br />found among the flood debris and dispose of it properly. If the County's contracted debris - <br />hauling company is not able to accommodate the disposal of household hazardous waste, then <br />the City agrees to receive any household hazardous waste produced from debris collection in <br />unincorporated areas of the County outside the corporate limits of the City. City's expenses <br />related to the receipt and processing of household hazardous waste shall be accounted for in <br />the City's sub - application for reimbursement from the appropriate Federal and /or State <br />agencies. <br />3.02 County agrees to ensure that the collection of any household hazardous waste results in the <br />placement of materials in appropriate receptacles. County agrees to ensure that its contractors <br />follow proper protocols for the collection of household hazardous waste. <br />ARTICLE IV. <br />MUTUAL AID <br />4.01 The Parties recognize that they have dedicated and will continue to dedicate labor and <br />equipment toward disaster relief efforts within Hays County. Each Party will continue to <br />account for its costs associated with disaster relief efforts, and the Parties will collectively <br />submit their costs for reimbursement from the appropriate Federal and /or State agencies <br />ARTICLE V. <br />ACCOUNTING /REIMBURSEMENT <br />5.01 The Parties shall each report claims for reimbursement using methods and codes generally <br />accepted by the State and Federal entities to whom reimbursement applications are filed. <br />Among other guidelines that may be applicable, the following financial guidelines will be <br />followed: 44 CFR Part 13, Uniform Administrative Requirements for Grants and Cooperative <br />e3 <br />CoSM /Hays — Disaster ILA <br />
