Call To Order <br />City of San Marcos <br />Meeting Minutes <br />City Council <br />7:30 AM <br />Emergency Meeting <br />630 East Hopkins <br />San Marcos, TX 78666 <br />City Council Chambers <br />With a quorum present, the Emergency meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Guerrero at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, 630 <br />E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Prewitt arrived after roll call at 7:33 a.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, <br />Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />1. Approve Resolution 2015 -59R, under the authority of Section 418.108 of the Texas <br />Government Code, declaring and extending a local state of disaster in the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas due to recent historic flooding. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member Thomaides <br />to approve Resolution 2015 -59R, the motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather and Council Member <br />Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Prewitt <br />VI. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, asked the Council if they still had their flood information <br />page that she had provided each of them when they were first elected? Mayor Guerrero replied <br />yes. <br />VII. Adjournment. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, that <br />the emergency meeting of the San Marcos City Council be adjourned at 7:34 a.m. The motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt <br />and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />City of San Marcos Page i <br />
