Call To Order City of San Marcos Meeting Minutes City Council 7:30 AM Emergency Meeting 630 East Hopkins San Marcos, TX 78666 City Council Chambers With a quorum present, the Emergency meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. II. Roll Call Council Member Prewitt arrived after roll call at 7:33 a.m. Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson 1. Approve Resolution 2015 -59R, under the authority of Section 418.108 of the Texas Government Code, declaring and extending a local state of disaster in the City of San Marcos, Texas due to recent historic flooding. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member Thomaides to approve Resolution 2015 -59R, the motion carried by the following vote: For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather and Council Member Hughson Against: 0 Absent: 1 - Council Member Prewitt VI. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, asked the Council if they still had their flood information page that she had provided each of them when they were first elected? Mayor Guerrero replied yes. VII. Adjournment. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, that the emergency meeting of the San Marcos City Council be adjourned at 7:34 a.m. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson Against: 0 City of San Marcos Page i
