RESOLUTION 2015 -68R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO <br />WESTAR CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE BLANCO RIVER -RIVER ROAD <br />SLOPE STABILIZATION PROJECT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $485,825.00 <br />CONTINGENT UPON THE CONTRACTOR'S TIMELY SUBMISSION OF <br />SUFFICIENT BONDS AND INSURANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />CITY'S CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE <br />ALL APPROPRIATE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The award of a construction contract to Westar Construction, Inc. for the <br />Blanco River -River Road Slope Stabilization Project in the total amount of $485,825.00 (IFB <br />215 -164) is approved contingent upon the contractor's timely submission of sufficient bonds and <br />insurance in accordance with the amity's contract - documents for the -Project - -- <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute all appropriate <br />contract documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
