<br />139 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 23, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introducèd for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1985-117 WHICH <br />GRANTED SAID CITY'S CONSENT TO THE CREATION OF SAN <br />}ffiRCOS MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO.1 SUBJECT TO <br />VARIOUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN A SEPARATE <br />AGREEMENT MADE A PART OF SUCH ORDINANCE, BY APPROVING <br />THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADDENDUN NO. I TO SAID <br />AGREEMENT SET FORTH IN ARTICLE XI THEREOF, AUTHORIZ- <br />ING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID ADDENDUM, AND DECLARING <br />AN E!>1ERGENCY. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mayor <br />Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES BY ADDING A PROVISION EXEMPTING POLICE <br />DOGS FROM SECTIOlJ 3-49, IMPOUNDMENT OF DOGS V\THICH <br />HAVE BITTEN PERSONS; AND BY ADDING A PROVISION PRO~ <br />HIBITING PERSONS FROM AGITATING POLICE DOGS; AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mayor Younger moved to amend <br />the Ordinance in Sections 3-53 and 3-54 to delete the words "or any <br />other law enforcement agency," and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. <br />On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Brown, Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Farr. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on <br />first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 33 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY CHANGING ALL REFERENCES TO SUS- <br />PENSION FROM THE WRECKER ROTATION SYSTEM FROM SIX <br />MONTHS TO THIRTY DAYS, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />
