5 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 7, 1987 PRESENT: Mayor J. E. Younger Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Gerald G. Farr Karl W. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 23, 1987. Mr. Brown moved to approve the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Nicola not present to vote on this item). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an .appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals to complete a vacancy (new member to serve as Alternate 2, Alternates 1 and 2 to move up a position). The Council made no appointment and if no name is received by Wednesday, December 9, the appointment will not be scheduled until the first meeting in January (Mr. Nicola present - 7:47 p.m.). 11ayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of three appoint- ments to the Reinvestment Zone Number One - JASBA. Ms. Kissler moved to reappoint Lawrence Stange, reappoint Gene Majors, and reappoint Dan Graham and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adopt- tion of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, OF LOT 1, BLOCK Q OUT OF HUGHSON HEIGHTS, SECTION 3, A SUBDIVISION OF 64.386 ACRES OUT OF THE ROBERT CLEVER SURVEY A-92 AND THE JOHN W. BERRY SURVEY A-62, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 4, PAGES 171-195 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY THE 2200 BLOCK OF N. LBJ FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the land use request. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved to table the * Mr. Nicola was present at 7:47 p.m.
