h4ei-natieii,4 gneit,v Cede. 140wever-, 114 no ease will the Fninifflum duet insulation value be less <br />than R6.. <br />Sec. 14.077. —Permits-, Licensing. <br />(a) A person applying for a mechanical permit shall be: <br />(1) A licensed air conditioning and refrigeration contractor under state law; or <br />(2) Exempt under state law from the licensing requirement. <br />(b) A state licensed air conditioning and refrigeration contractor shall register with the Ceity once a year and show <br />proof of the state license and insurance before any work is performed within the city. <br />(c) If a building owner is claiming an exemption under state law because he is planning to do the work him or <br />herself, then the owner shall provide an affidavit to the building official stating that he owns and occupies the <br />building as his homestead. <br />Secs. 14.078-14.100. - Reserved - <br />ARTICLE 6. - PLUMBING CODE <br />DIVISION 1. - GENERALLY <br />Sec. 14.101. -Applicability. <br />All Ceity plumbing regulations apply throughout the city limits, and also apply to all plumbing work, regardless <br />of location, performed on pipes connected to the C-eity water or wastewater system. <br />Sec. 14.102. - Amendments. <br />The X009-2015 International Plumbing Code adopted by section 14.002 is amended as follows: <br />Section 103 is deleted. <br />Section 106.3 is deleted. <br />Section 106.6 Fees, is deleted. <br />Section 109 is deleted. <br />Section 501 is amended by adding 501.9 to read as follows: <br />501.9. Before any water heater is installed, the person installing the water heater must receive a permit from the <br />building inspections department. <br />Section 603.-2 ils amended by deleting eNEeption 2. as follows. <br />Section 603.2. Where water service piping is located in the same trench with the building sewer, such sewer <br />shall be constructed of materials listed in table 702.2. Where the building sewer piping is not of materials <br />indicated in Table 702.2, the water service pipe shall be horizontally separated by not less than 5 feet (1524 mm) <br />of undisturbed or compacted earth. The separation distance shall not apply where the service crosses a sewer <br />pipe, provided the water service is sleeved to a point not less than 5 feet (1524 mm) horizontally from the sewer <br />pipe centerline on both sides of such crossing. The sleeve shall be of pipe materials indicated in Table 605 .3, <br />702.2 or 702.3.
