6 Regular Meeting October 25, 1993 Page 6 Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the appointment of a citizen to chair the Master Plan Update citizen's Advisory Committee and to sit on the Master Plan steering Committee. The Council discussed names to consider, and Mr. Patterson advised the Council this appointment will oversee the entire citizen group, and it needs to be someone other than a Zoning or Planning Commissioner for this position. Mr. Patterson introduced Ed Theriot, the Master Plan staff Coordinator. The Council delayed, this appointment to the next meeting. 1 Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Section 2(e), V.A.C.S., to discuss pending litigation (Tamez vs. City of San Marcos; city of San Marcos vs. Frost National Bank, Trustee; Sierra Club vs. Babbit; Coffee Equipment, Inc. vs. city of San Marcos; McFadin vs. Texas Water Commission), matters where the City Attorney's ethical duty to the City clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; and the evaluation of public officers. Mr. Cox moved to adjourn into Executive Session at 10:13 p.m. and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Moore moved to reconvene at 12:53 a.m. and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. . Mayor Morris introduced for consideration setting the salary of the City Manager. Mr. Cox moved to set the City Manager's salary at $69,500.00 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The salaries of the City Attorney, city Secretary and Municipal Court Judge were rescheduled for the next meeting.
