1. On February 29, 2012 the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with <br />Beaty Palmer Architects (the "Architect ") for the provision of professional architectural services <br />in connection with the Georgia Street Senior Citizens Center Project (the "Project ") in a not -to- <br />exceed amount of $32,175.00. <br />2. On October 17, 2012 the City approved Authorization of Change in Service <br />( "ACIS ") No. 1 for $5,650.00 and on March 1, 2013 the City approved ACIs No. 2 for $2,000.00 <br />which raised the total contract amount to $42,790.00 <br />3. It is necessary to increase the contract amount due to increases in project scope, <br />which will result in an increase of an additional $19,950.00 to the Agreement. <br />4. The approval of ACIS No. 3 for $19.950.00 will cause the amount of the <br />Agreement to increase $42,790.00 to $62,740.00, and this increase triggers the need for City <br />Council's approval of the Agreement. <br />RESOLVED BE IT BY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />PART 1. The Agreement between the City and Beaty Palmer Architects dated <br />February 29, 2012 for the provision of professional architectural services in the total amount of <br />$62,740.00 which includes an increase of $19,950.00 above the previous contract amount of <br />$42,790.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager's execution of the Agreement on behalf of the City is <br />ratified and the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute ACIS No. 3 on behalf of <br />the City. <br />
