<br />l 47 <br />Regular Meeting November 22, 1993 Page 3 <br />Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. <br />Guerra not present to vote on this item). <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br />Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, REPEALING CHAPTER 22, PUBLIC AMUSEMENTS, OF THE SAN <br /> MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES REGULATING PUBLIC DANCES AND DANCE <br /> HALLS; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br />Mr. Cox moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. <br />Guerra not present to vote on this item). <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of a <br />Zoning Ordinance. No one wished to reconsider the Ordinance. <br />The caption reads as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY <br /> REZONING 0.146 AND 0.213 ACRE TRACTS OUT OF BLOCK 13 IN THE <br /> LINDSEY & HARVEY ADDITION, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, <br /> TEXAS, LOCATED AT 325 AND 329 NORTH STREET FROM "MF-4" <br /> MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY) TO lip" PUBLIC AND <br /> INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a <br />Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR THE APPRAISAL REVIEW BOARD <br /> OF THE HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR THE PERIOD <br /> BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1994; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> SUBMIT THE NAME OF THE NOMINEE TO THE CHIEF APPRAISER OF THE <br /> HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br />Mr. Hart moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Moore stated he thought Augustin Lucio <br />would be interested in the position. Mr. Moore phoned Mr. Lucio. <br />Mr. Lucio thanked Mr. Moore for the consideration, however, he <br />would not be able to serve at this time. Mr. Hart moved to table <br />the item and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. (Mr. Moore not present to vote on this item - Mr. <br />Guerra present to vote on this item.) <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held November 8, 1993, approval of $6,000 in <br />contingency funds for the TRASER Grant, adoption of eleven <br />Resolutions and approval to accept bids for the purchase of city <br />property located at the intersection of Hopkins Street and <br />Cheatham Street on consensus. The Council removed items 9.C. (1), <br />(7), (8), (9) and (10) to be considered separately. Mr. Hart <br />moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held <br />November 8, 1993, approval of $6,000 for the TRASER Grant, <br />adoption of the remaining six Resolutions, and approval to accept <br />bids for the sale of City property on consensus and Mr. Plummer <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moore not <br />present to vote on this item). <br />
