Hopkins - Packet Meeting [ Call T0Order With a quorum present, the special meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 12:05 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. Mayor Pro Tern Prather and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott were both absent due &mwork commitments. Present: 5 Mayor Daniel Suon*m, Council Member John Thomoidem, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Council Member Lisa Puewittand Council Member Jane Hughaon Absent: 2' Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shane Scott and Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather 1. Cons/der approve/ of Ordinance 2015'28, on the first of two readings, annexing into the City 417.630 acres of |snd, more or |ems, out of the William H. Van Horn 8urvey, Abstract No. 464. located on the east side of IH -35 and south of Posey Road; approving a service plan for this area; including procedural provisions; and providing an effective date. A motion was made by Council Member Thomaides, seconded by Council Member Thomason, that OrdinanmA@WTjV.,m"-.. )z=W, readings. The motion carried by the following vote: For 5' Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaidno.Council Member Thomason, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson Against: 0 Absent: 2- Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott and Mayor Pro -Tem Prather 2. Cons/der approval of Ordinance 2015-28` on the first of two readings, annexing into the City 965 acres of |and, more or less, oOnnpheed of multiple tracts of land and associated rights-of-way within 13 areae /n the City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction; approving service plans for said 8rG8n; including procedural pnOv/S/OnS; and providing aneffective date.
