BE IT-��ESOLTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />PART 1. The City of San Marcos supports a collaboration of and with organizations <br />that include, but are not limited to, Hays County, Blanco County, Caldwell County, cities and <br />villages that are within these counties, river authorities, the Edwards Aquifer Authority, the <br />National Weather Service, the United States Geological Survey, and other public and private <br />entities to develop, organize, and coordinate a system or systems to assist in the collection of <br />data concerning rainfall, water flow and other related activity in the Blanco River Basin and <br />along the Blanco River and San Marcos River. <br />PART 2. The City of San Marcos further supports the development of a cooperative <br />letter of understanding or other agreements among participating entities for site locations, <br />equipment (types /devices), funding, installation and long term physical operation of these <br />systems and devices. <br />PART 3. The City of San Marcos further approves the development, support and <br />maintenance of a system or systems in which these information collection devices can convey <br />data as needed to various agencies involved in the collaboration. <br />PART 4. The City Manager is authorized to enter into operational agreements and <br />incur costs related to the foregoing activities in a cumulative amount not to exceed $50,000.00. <br />PART 5. The City Manager is authorized to execute any related non - fiduciary <br />agreements or letters of support as needed for this project. <br />PART 6. The City Manager is authorized to seek and express support for any <br />funding avenue available in connection with the foregoing activities and to submit and /or support <br />any agency involved in the project for any application for such funding in concert with local, <br />state or federal procurement practices. <br />PART 7. The activities of the City and other participating organizations under this <br />Resolution are subject to applicable laws, restrictions and policy guidelines of the participating <br />organization. <br />PART 8.
