The Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funded under the Recovery Act is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local <br />jurisdictions. Recovery JAG funds support all comprrnents of the criminal justice system, from multi jurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevenlion <br />and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and jusuce inforntanon sharing initiatives. Rmovcry JAG funded projects may address crime <br />through the pro%ision of services directly coin dividuals and'or communities and by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal justice systems, <br />processes, and procedures. <br />The disparaicjurisdictioas of Hays County and the city of San Marcos will u c Recovery Act JAG funding to enhance law enforcement services provided to the <br />community. In a disparate situation, the units of local government must apply for an award with a single, joint application. Each jurisdiction's a[]Deal ion will be <br />used for activities and projects that will provide nieamngful and measurable outcomes consistent with the goals of the Recovery Act and JAG Program to include <br />the purchase oft ire deflation devices for s ehict lar pursuits, software licenses, crimeiccident scruc reconstruction software, portable camera systems, throw phones <br />for crisis situations, and firearms anti associated accessories. Funds will be divided evenly between the city and county in order to accomplish proposed objectives. <br />For administrative purposes, the city will serve as the fiscal agent for this award. <br />NCA'NCF <br />
