Mayor Morris called the meeting to brder at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Charter Review Commission. Mr. Hart moved to appoint Beth Wolpman and Mr. Hart moved to appoint Tom Wertz on behalf of Mr. Guerra, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. No names were submitted, and this will be placed on the next agenda. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO PUBLIC FOR LOT 38 OF BLOCK A, PARKLANE GARDEN HOMES SUBDIVISION, PHASE II AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 5, PAGE 165 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS AND LOT 59 OF BLOCK A AND LOT 33 OF BLOCK B OF THE SUNRIDGE P.U.D. SUBDIVISION AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 4, PAGES 309-311 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The City Attorney advised the Council by memorandum the proceedings for this land use amendment and the following three zoning amendments needed to start over with the public hearing process, and they will be rescheduled for public hearing on the August 9 agenda. Mr. Plummer moved to table consideration of this Resolution and the following three Zoning Ordinances and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Mooney, Cox, Plummer. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Hart, Morris. * Mr. Guerra was not present at this meeting.
