City Council <br />Meeting Minutes September 1, 2015 <br />For: 7- Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt <br />and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />19. 7:OOPM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br />for or against Ordinance 2015 -35, setting the Tax Rate for the 2015 Tax Year at 53.02 <br />cents on each $100 of taxable value of real and personal property that is not exempt <br />from taxation; levying taxes for the use and support of the Municipal Government of <br />the City for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, <br />2016; providing a Sinking Fund for the retirement of the bonded debt of the City; and <br />consider approval of Ordinance 2015 -35, on the first of two readings. <br />Feather Furlbert, Director of Finance, provided a brief presentation to <br />Council. <br />9 MI <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, Mayor <br />Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott <br />20. 7:OOPM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br />for or against Ordinance 2015 -36, increasing rates established for Water, Wholesale <br />Water, Reclaimed Water, Wastewater Treatment, and Sewer Surcharges; and <br />including procedural provisions; and consider approval of Ordinance 2015 -36, on the <br />first of two readings. <br />Feather Furlbert, Finance Director provided a brief presentation to Council. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Fearing at 8:57 p.m. <br />Lisa Marie Coppoletta, addressed the Council and asked if we were selling <br />water to Buda.
