1. On August 9, 2013, as a result of a competitive bid process, the City administratively <br />awarded an annual contract (the "Contract ") to Pristine Texas Rivers, Inc. for the Removal of <br />Underwater Vegetation and Litter because the annual contract price at that time was estimated to <br />be under $50,000.00. <br />2. The original bid (IFB- 213 -137) provided the City with the option to extend the <br />Contract for four (4) additional one -year terms and the Contract was extended administratively <br />for the first time on September 29, 2014 because the Contract did not exceed $50,000.00. <br />3. On August 6, 2015 the City extended the contract administratively for the second <br />time, however, this extension has caused the estimated contract amount to exceed the authorized <br />purchasing threshold of $50,000.00 and the Contract, therefore, requires City Council approval. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITE' OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Contract between the City and Pristine Texas Rivers, Inc. for the <br />Contractor's Removal of Underwater Vegetation and Litter in the estimated amount of <br />$62,116.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager's execution of the pertinent purchasing documents <br />on behalf of the City is ratified. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 15th day of September, 2015. <br />
