RESOLUTION NO. 1981-56R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR, CITY ACCOUNTANT, TO <br />JOINTLY SIGN CHECKS OR OTHER INSTRUMENTS <br />FOR THE DISBURSEMENT OF CITY FUNDS; AND <br />REQUIRING THE SIGNATURE OF ANY TWO OF <br />SAID PERSONS ON ANY CHECK OR OTHER <br />INSTRUMENT FOR DISBURSEMENT OF CITY <br />FUNDS FOR SUCH CHECK OR INSTRUMENT TO <br />BE VALID. <br />WHEREAS, the Hays County National Bank was duly designated as a depository <br />for the City of San Marcos, Texas, on August 17, 1981; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate representatives of the City, and <br />to authorize said representatives to sign and countersign checks and other <br />instruments utilized for the disbursement of City funds; and, <br />WHEREAS, the most appropriate representatives for said purpose are the <br />Mayor, City Manager, Finance Director, and City Accountant; and, <br />WHEREAS, the grant of authority to said named representatives should be <br />conditioned upon the requirement that two of the designated representatives <br />must affix their signatures jointly on each single check or instrument for <br />the disbursement of City funds before such check or instrument shall be valid; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />Part 1. That the following persons are hereby designated and authorized to <br />jointly affix their signature for the purpose of disbursing City <br />funds on behalf of the City of San Marcos: <br />1. Mayor Emmie Craddock or her successor <br />2. City Manager, A. C. Gonzalez or his successor <br />3. Finance director, Earl T. Williams or his successor <br />4. City Accountant, Jackie Matthys or her successor <br />Part 2. That no check or other instrument for the disbursement of city funds <br />shall be valid for such purpose unless or until the signatures of at <br />least two (2) of the above designated persons appear jointly thereon. <br />Part 3. That the authorization contained herein shall not be limited to <br />transactionswith Hays County National Bank but shall extend to <br />financial transactions with other persons, banks and financial <br />institutions, not otherwise limited by the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos. <br />Part 4.
