RESOLUTION NO. 1981-61R 38 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT <br />OF HEALTH FOR SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE SPECIAL <br />SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS <br />AND CHILDREN (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />wishes to continue its participation in the Special Supplemental <br />Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) of the United <br />States Department of Agriculture (USDA) which provides food and <br />nutritional information to qualified participants; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Council is willing to assume administrative <br />control of the local program; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the Agreement between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas and the Texas Department of Health for services pursuant <br />to the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and <br />Children (WIC) of the United States Department of Agriculture.,.. <br />a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for <br />all intents and purposes be, and is hereby, approved in all <br />respects. <br />fl <br /> <br />PART 2. That the city manager of said city, A.C. Gonzalez, <br />be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on be- <br />half of city. <br />PART 3.
