45 Regular Meeting September 28, 1981 Page 5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 153 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 AND THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2, SAID TRACT LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUN- DARIES; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHA- BITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABI- TANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Cavazos moved that the Ordinance be tabled until the next Regular Meeting, October 12, 1981 and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James moved that the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, V.A.C.S., §2(f) for the discussion of land acquisi- tion and §2(g) for the discussion of personnel, and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Time 8:55 p.m.). Mr. James moved that the Council convene from Executive Session and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Time 9:55 p.m.). Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the appointment of George Boeker as Director of Public Works. Mr. James moved that the appointment of George Boeker as Director of Public Works be ap- proved and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, James, Craddock, Kreczmer and Mendez. NAY: Cavazos. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of direction for the budget amendment for 1981-1982 fiscal year. Mr. Brown moved that Staff be directed and given the authority to create a position C-15 or C-16 classification level for administrator of services. Mr. James seconded the motion and further added to the motion that final approval of this position come before the Council for formal consideration. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, James, Craddock and Mendez. NAY: Cavazos and Kreczmer. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion approving final payment to Charles Willis and Associates for preparation of the Airport Master Plan, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF CHARLES WILLIS AND ASSOCIATES FOR SERVICES RENDERED PURSUANT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SAID MASTER PLAN ENTERED INTO BY SAID CITY AND CHARLES WILLIS ON JUNE 16, 1980, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. James moved to adopt the Resolution and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
