COLLECTION OF PERMIT FEES AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. That section 6-17 of the Code of Ordinances, <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 6-17. Admission to cemetery. <br />Entrance into the cemetery except through the <br />main entrance is hereby prohibited. The San Marcos <br />Cemetery will be officially open for visiting, care <br />of graves and other appropriate uses from 8:00 a.m. <br />Central Standard Time, to 6:00 p.m., Central Stan- <br />dard Time, and during Central Daylight Time from <br />8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. No activity, for which a <br />permit is required including but not limited to <br />funeral services, is permitted on weekends or <br />holidays unless the permit has been approved, in <br />writing, on the regular working day prior to that <br />weekend or holiday, <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That section 6-26 of the Code of Ordinances, <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 6-26. Permit fees. <br />There is hereby established the following sched- <br />ule of permit fees for work to be performed on the <br />grounds of the San Marcos Cemetery: <br />McGehee Addition; Old original Addition; <br />Roselawn Addition; A.M. Ramsay Addition; <br />Dixon Addition, Section 2, 3, and 4: <br />Interments or disinterments $150 <br />The setting of grave markers $150 <br />Repairs to existing curbing or any other <br />type of above-ground enclosure $150 <br /> <br />No fee shall be charged for a permit issued for <br />work performed on a cemetery lot for which the fee has <br />been paid for the perpetual care fund for the City of <br />San Marcos or for lots in Section 1 of the Dixon Addi- <br />tion for which perpetual care charges are exempted or <br />work done in the mausoleum. <br />Fees shall be collected by the agency performing <br />the service and shall be submitted to the City be- <br />fore a permit will be issued. <br />Permit fees will be refunded if the full perpetual <br />care fee is paid on the lot for which the permit was <br />issued within one hundred eighty (180) days of the <br />permit date, providing that the applicant makes writ- <br />ten application to the City for said refund. <br />59
