Lockers or other suitable <br />facilities may be located only in the <br />designated dressing rooms or in food <br />storage rooms or areas containing only <br />completely packaged food or packaged <br />single-service articles. <br />(g) Poisonous or Toxic Materials. <br />(1) Materials Permitted. Only those poisonous or <br />toxic materials necessary for the maintenance <br />of the establishment, the cleaning and sanitiza- <br />tion of equipment and utensils, and the con- <br />trol of insects and rodents shall be present <br />in food service establishments. <br />(2) Labeling of Materials. Containers of poisonous <br />or toxic materials shall be prominently and <br />distinctly labeled according to law for easy <br />identification of contents. <br />(3) Storage of Materials. Poisonous or toxic <br />materials consist of the following three (3) <br />categories: <br />(A) Insecticides and rodenticides; <br />(B) Detergents, sanitizers, and related <br />cleaning or drying agents; <br />(C) Caustics, acids,, polishes, and other <br />chemicals. <br />Each of these categories shall be stored and <br />located to be physically separated from each <br />other. All poisonous or toxic materials shall <br />be stored in cabinets or in similar physically <br />separated compartments or facilities used for <br />no other purpose. To preclude potential <br />contamination, poisonous or toxic materials <br />shall not be stored above food, food equipment, <br />utensils or single-service articles, except <br />that this requirement does not prohibit the <br />convenient availability of detergent or <br />sanitizers at utensil or dishwashing stations. <br />(4) Use of Materials. <br />(A) Bactericides, cleaning compou <br />compounds intended for use on <br />surfaces shall not be used in <br />leaves a toxic residue: on such <br />nor in a way that constitutes <br />employees or other persons. <br />ads or other <br />food-contact <br />a way that <br />surfaces, <br />a hazard to <br />(B) Poisonous or toxic materials shall not be <br />used in a way that contaminates food, equip- <br />ment, or utensils, nor in a way that con- <br />stitutes a hazard to employees or other per- <br />sons, nor in a way other than in full compli- <br />ance with the manufacturer's labeling. <br />(5) Personal Medications.
