TWELVE (12) OF <br /> GUERRERO'S RE-SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTHWESTERN <br /> ONE-HALF OF LOT OR TRACT NO. THREE (3) OF A . ESQUIVEL; <br />O eu ? AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED <br />M --< TO CARMEN R. ESQUIVEL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids <br />for the sale of lot No. Twelve (12) of Guerrero's Re-Subdivision <br />of the Southwestern one-half of Lot or Tract No. Three (3) of <br />A.F. Weatherford's Subdivision of a tract of 162.3 acres out of <br />the J.M. Veramendi League No. One (1), in Hays County, Texas, <br />also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 47R-9, in the San Marcos <br />Record, a local newspaper with a general circulation in the County <br />of Hays, State of Texas, on August 23, 1981, and August 30, 1981; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, a bid was submitted <br />by Carmen R. Esquivel for said described property in the amount <br />of Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00); and, <br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set for <br />said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas,on June 10, 1981; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and best <br />responsible bid for said property on October 13, 1981; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase <br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale, <br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS : <br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, of all of Lot No. Twelve (12) of Guerrero's <br />Re-Subdivision of the Southwestern one-half of Lot or Tract No. <br />Three (3) of A.F. Weatherford's Subdivision of a tract of 162.3 <br />acres out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. One (1), in Hays County, <br />Texas, according to the map or plat of said Guerrero's Re-Subdivision <br />of record in Volume 146, Page 639, Hays County Deed Records, also <br />known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 47R-9, to Carmen R. Esquivel, <br />are hereby approved. <br />SECTION 2. That the consideration of Three Thousand Five <br />Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00) for said property be, and the same is <br />hereby, approved. <br />SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice <br />that the subject property is subject to assessment under the <br />provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. <br />SECTION 4. That the mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />Emmie Craddock be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a <br />warranty deed to Carmen R. Esquivel from the the City of San <br />Marcos for said property. <br />SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read on three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective un- <br />til the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final
