B. Upon request the Contractor will furnish the City with collection containers appropriate <br />for collection of other recyclables to include newspaper, phone books, glass, certain <br />plastics, and aluminum cans. The mode of collection may be by sorted bins or single <br />stream collection. The following are the current city facilities to be serviced; <br />Facility <br />Activity Center Library Police Department <br />Animal Shelter Municipal Building Public Services Building <br />Central Fire Station Parks and Recreation Building San Marcos Airport <br />City Hall Building Permit Center San Marcos Electric Utility <br />C. The Contractor will furnish the City with three 8 yard containers for the collection and <br />recycling of cardboard. The containers will be located at the Public Services Building, <br />Police Department, and the San Marcos Airport. The Contractor will pick up flattened <br />cardboard weekly from City facilities. <br />1.4.2 Provision of Neighborhood Cleanup/River Cleanups/Household Hazardous Waste/Bobcat <br />Build/Texas State University Move-Out <br />A. The Contractor will assist the City each year in conducting approximately six <br />neighborhood cleanups, two river cleanups, four household hazardous waste events, four <br />Texas State University Move In/Out events and one Bobcat Build event, at locations <br />identified by the City furnishing labor and equipment for collection of recyclable <br />materials. At these clean ups, the Contractor will accept all recyclables specified under <br />this Agreement on the City's behalf. <br />B. The Contractor will furnish labor, equipment, and provide appropriate receptacles to <br />recycle materials (i.e. aluminum, plastic, and paper) at the following City sponsored <br />events: Sights and Sounds of Christmas, Kite Festival, the Texas Natural Swing Festival, <br />Library Book Sales, and Summerfest (Thurs., June-August). The Contractor will ensure <br />that receptacles for recycling are placed at convenient locations throughout the event site <br />for the duration of the event and ensure that they are emptied at least once per day and <br />removed no later than 12:00 noon following the last day of the event. If the last day falls <br />on a Saturday, recyclables must be removed by noon on Monday.
