RESOLUTION 2015 -138R <br />f�i7�1YII�if. <br />1. The Public Services Department— Electric Utility Division routinely purchases <br />distribution transformers as a necessary part of extending electric service to customers. <br />2. These transformers have long lead times and are of a dollar amount which <br />requires the purchase to be approved by City Council. <br />3. The City wishes to authorize the expenditure of up to $750,000.00 for the <br />purchase of distribution transformers for FY 2016 through the Lower Colorado River Authority <br />Material Acquisition Services Program Agreement and the Texas Local Government Purchasing <br />Cooperative Buyboard Contract for Building Maintenance, Repair, Operations Supplies and <br />Equipment (Contract #415 -12) ahead of the actual purchase date in order to avoid delay in their <br />procurement and delivery. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The purchase of distribution transformers as necessary for the Public <br />Services Department- Electric Utility Division through the Lower Colorado Authority Material <br />Acquisition Services Program Agreement and the Texas Local Government Cooperative <br />Buyboard Contract for Building Maintenance, Repair, Operations Supplies and Equipment <br />(Contract #415 -12) in the not -to- exceed amount of $750,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2016 is <br />approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the appropriate <br />purchasing documents on behalf of the City. <br />
