Hopkins - Packet Meeting <br />630 East Hopkins <br />San Marcos, TX 78666 <br />City Council Chambers <br />With a quorum present, the workshop meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 12:02 p.m. Friday, September 11, <br />2015 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, 'Texas 78666. <br />Mayor Pro 'Tem Prather arrived after roll call at 12:48 p.m. <br />Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro <br />Tern Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and <br />Council Member Jane Hughson <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Ryan Thomason <br />1. Consider Staff briefing and Council Member discussion and questions regarding items <br />on the agenda for September 15, 2015 Regular City Council Meeting, to wit Items <br />(1 -25). <br />1. Meeting Minutes: August 28, 2015 - Workshop Meeting Minutes and September 1, <br />2015 - Regular Meeting Minutes <br />2. Resolution 2015 -120R <br />approving an <br />agreement between the City of San <br />Marcos, <br />Texas and the Normandy <br />Group, L.L.C. <br />providing for Federal Governmental <br />Relations <br />Services for two years in an amount <br />not to exceed $192,000; authorizing <br />the City <br />Manager to execute said <br />agreement on <br />behalf of the City; and declaring an <br />effective <br />date. <br />3. Resolution 2015 -121 R approving a State Government Relations Representation <br />Agreement with Winstead, P.C. in an amount not to exceed $99,000 over two years; <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreement on behalf of the City; and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />4. Resolution 2015 -122R approving the award of an annual contract to Pristine Texas <br />Rivers, Inc. for the contractor's removal of underwater vegetation and litter (IFB <br />213 -137) for the Community Services Department in the estimated contract amount of <br />$62,116.00; ratifying the Purchasing Manager's execution of the purchasing <br />documents related to this contract on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
