<br />90 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting April 13, 1992 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1991-1992 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR UTILITY RELOCATION FOR THE <br />STATE HIGHWAY 123/BROADWAY INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Jenkins advised the Council the <br />scope of this project is to make a left-turn lane from Highway 123 <br />onto Broadway. The Council directed Mr. Gilley have Staff discuss <br />with the School District a future project regarding the Broadway and <br />Staples' intersections. The Council voted unanimously for adoption <br />of the Ordinance on emergency (Mr. Guerra not present to vote on <br />this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of two <br />Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider these <br />Ordinances. The captions of these Ordinances read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />BLOCK 7, LOTS 1-11, 1ST SECTION-VICTORY GARDENS ADDITION TO THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 128, PAGE 46 <br />OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED IN THE 200 BLOCK OF <br />ARMSTRONG STREET, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[LOW DENSITY]) TO "R-2" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />FOUR TRACTS OF PROPERTY BEING PORTIONS OF LOTS 9 AND 10 OF THE <br />JOHN SCOTT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS <br />RECORDED IN VOLUME R, PAGE 255 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, <br />COMPRISING 0.372 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT <br />115-121 SCOTT STREET, FROM "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH <br />DENSITY]) TO "TH-2" (TOWNHOUSE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT [MEDIUM <br />DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held March 23, 1992, approval of two Ordinances <br />on second reading, adoption of eight Resolutions, and authorization <br />to bid the sale of a parcel of property on the Northeast side of the <br />500 Block of Patton Street on consensus. The Council removed Items <br />6.C.(1) and 6.C.(2) to be considered separately. Ms. Kissler moved <br />for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 23, <br />1992, for approval of the two Ordinances on second reading, for <br />adoption of the remaining six Resolutions, and for authorization to <br />bid the sale of a parcel of property on Patton Street on consensus <br />and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The <br />captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX C - SUBDIVISIONS OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REPEALING SECTION E OF ARTICLE IV <br />PERTAINING TO APPEALS OF ACTIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX C - SUBDIVISIONS, OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND THE <br />PROVISION OF UTILITY SERVICE TO UNPLATTED PROPERTY AND TO <br />SUBDIVISIONS IN WHICH PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN <br />COMPLETED; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL <br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
