Call To Order <br />With s, the workshop of the cs City Council was <br />called to i r t: 35 p.m. Monday, November 30, <br />2015 in the i Council o pkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />1111111111;ne 1111540 <br />Council r Derrick arrived after roll call at :37 p.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro-Tem John Thomaides, Council Member Jude <br />Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Jane Hughson, <br />Council Member Melissa Derrick and Council Member Scott Gregson <br />. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding Floodplain Management, <br />and provide direction to Staff. <br />Director of Engineering and CIP, Laurie Moyer, led a presentation regarding <br />Floodplain Magement. <br />Topics covered were Hydrology /Hydrolics 101, History of Flooding, Studies <br />Underway and Current Regulations. Council would like to see information <br />from Staff regarding what could happen in a flood event after a project is built <br />out. Staff stated that they would like to speak to people with firsthand <br />accounts of recent flooding. Staff will bring back recommendations in January <br />2016 for amendments to the Floodplain Ordinance. These will include: <br />Increase elevation of finished floor, stronger language to require floodplain <br />analysis of proposed encroachments to show no increase in flood elevations, <br />Establish a fully developed condition floodway, Increase zones — Water <br />Quality/Buffer. <br />III. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, asked the Council if they would like to <br />know more about lidar that Andy Grubbs has it and you can see things like <br />superman. <br />, J.
