<br />60 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />March 23, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM COMMERCIAL TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR BLOCK <br />7, LOTS 6-11, OF THE 1ST SECTION-VICTORY GARDENS ADDITION TO <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 128, PAGE 46 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED IN <br />THE 200 BLOCK OF ARMSTRONG STREET AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the Resolution. No one did, so Mayor Morris <br />closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the <br />Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR FOUR TRACTS OF PROPERTY, BEING PORTIONS OF LOTS <br />9 AND 10 OF THE JOHN SCOTT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME R, PAGE 255 OF THE <br />HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, COMPRISING 0.372 ACRES OF LAND, MORE <br />OR LESS, LOCATED AT 115-121 SCOTT STREET AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the Resolution. Ada Burke who resides at 117 <br />Scott Street stated there are four townhouses, and sometimes too <br />many unrelated people reside within,a townhouse. It is her <br />understanding that matter is being addressed in this Resolution. No <br />one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Pauline White asked if the zoning is being <br />changed also, and Ron Patterson advised her it is being made <br />consistent on this agenda tonight. The Council voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideratin a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />FOUR TRACTS OF PROPERTY BEING PORTIONS OF LOTS 9 AND 10 OF THE <br />JOHN SCOTT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS <br />RECORDED IN VOLUME R, PAGE 255 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, <br />COMPRISING 0.372 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT <br />115-121 SCOTT STREET, FROM "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH <br />DENSITY]) TO "TH-2" (TOWNHOUSE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT [MEDIUM <br />DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing.
