63 Regular Meeting March 23, 1992 Page 5 Mayor Morris introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. Hernandez stated he thinks the recycling has dropped off, and information needs to continue to flow to the public. Mr. Gilley stated he will provide a report to the Council at the next meeting, which he thinks will reflect the need for the contractor to continue to educate the public. (2) Mayor Morris stated she went with New Braunfels' representatives to speak with downstream users, and that it was a good opportunity to share information, which was well received. (3) Ms. Kissler announced the TML Region VII Meeting in Seguin was a productive meeting, and the City of San Marcos will host the next meeting August 7 at Aquarena Springs. Mayor Morris announced the Council would consider Item 3 on the Agenda, adoption of a Resolution, which was read in its entirety, the caption which reads as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CONGRATULATING THE 1992 SAN MARCOS HIGH SCHOOL LADY RATTLERS BASKETBALL TEAM AND COACHING STAFF AS TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONS IN DIVISION 5A GIRLS BASKETBALL; DECLARING THE WEEK OF MARCH 29-APRIL 4, 1992 AS "LADY RATTLERS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION WEEK" THROUGHOUT THE CITYj AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hart moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Section 2(e), V.A.C.S., to discuss pending litigation (City of San Marcos vs. LCRAj Sierra Club vs. Manuel Lujan, Et Alj Susan Gumtow, Et Al vs. City of San Marcos, Et Al) and matters where the duty of the City Attorney to the City pursuant to the Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17. Mayor Morris announced the Council would adjourn into Executive Session at 9:30 p.m., and it was consensus of Council to do so. Mr. Guerra moved the Council reconvene at 10:31 p.m. and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
