Mr. Medlin briefly summarized <br />several points of the letter and asked that the Council consider <br />those points in amending this item. Mr. Moore asked that Mr. <br />Medlin carry back a message that the individual who drafted the <br />letter did not win any points wi th him in particular by begging <br />several major questions and also by making comments that the points <br />assessment is done by persons insensitive to the constitutional <br />rights of this population. Mr. Medlin stated that he would carry <br />the comments to the Roundtable. Mr. steven Reed, President of the <br />Interfraternity Council and Mr. Robbie Hunter also expressed their <br />concerns regarding the ordinance. The following vote was recorded <br />on the amended ordinance. <br /> <br />Aye: Plummer, Moore, Hernandez, Hart, Guerra <br /> <br />Nay: None <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Hart introduced for reconsideration item 8B for funding of <br />construction of an Airplane Shelter at the San Marcos Airport. Mr. <br />Plummer moved for this item to be reconsidered and Mr. Hart <br />seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Aye: Hernandez, Hart, Guerra, Plummer, Moore <br /> <br />Nay: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Plummer moved that item 8B be reformated as a three reading <br />ordinance and moved for adoption of it on first reading. Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Hart introduced for consideration approval of minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held May 11, 1992, adoption of an Ordinance on <br />third reading, adoption of four resolutions and approval of <br />expenditure in the amount of $500.00 from the Tourist Account for <br />the purpose of Rick Hernandez' attendance at the TAMACC Seventeenth <br />Annual Convention. Mr. Guerra seconded the motion which passed <br />unanimously.
