Estimate the number of hours your staff spends preparing for and staffing <br /> this board or commission. <br /> The Personnel Appeals Board met for the first time in <br /> approximately ten years in 1991. Preparation for that <br /> particular board meeting was approximately six hours of <br /> staff time. <br />3. Please list the amount and types of information normally contained in the <br /> board or commission agenda packets. <br /> Prior to the meeting of the Personnel Appeals Board, Board <br /> members received copies of the meeting notice as well as the <br /> agenda, all other information was presented at the time of the <br /> meeting. <br />4. What types of issues are most commonly dealt with by this board or <br /> commission? <br /> Employee grievances. <br />5. Does this board or commission continue to have a viable role related to its <br /> charge or Life there any duties that could be easily handled at the staff <br /> level? Please be speciîic. <br /> Under the City Council-City Manager form of government the final <br /> decision concerning employee grievances should be administered by <br /> the City Manager. Since the Personnel Appeals Board has met <br /> only one time in approximately ten years, one must question <br /> the necessity of this Board's existence. <br />6. Would the addition of these duties require more staff hours or personnel <br /> changes? <br /> No <br />
