All new members of boards or commissions should go <br /> through an orientation process and receive materials <br /> (Le. ordinance creating) prepared by the city staff <br /> liaison. <br />3. The citizens of San Marcos need better notice of board <br /> and commission meetings than the present posting system <br /> affords. Publication in the newspapers and inserts in <br /> the utility bills are suggested. <br />4. All boards and commissions should file a brief report <br /> with the Council at least once a year in January stating <br /> their past year's accomplishments, goals for the coming <br /> year, and areas of concern on a form provided by the <br /> City staff. <br />5. A brochure to inform citizens of what all the boards and <br /> commissions do could be prepared by University student <br /> interns with staff superVlSlon. The brochures should <br /> have names of city contact persons and be available at <br /> City Hall. <br />
