Phillips, Jack Lindstrom, Nina Pryatel, Tom Partin, <br />Bill Kuhn, Jane Hughson, Dan Scales and others. <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the Housing Authority Board. Mr. Moore moved to <br />appoint Seth Worley, Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint John P. <br />Rodriguez, and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Rose Brooks, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br />to complete a vacancy on the Airport Commission. Mayor Morris moved <br />to appoint Gerald Hill, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br />to complete a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Adjustments and <br />Appeals. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Joe Cox, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced a formal public hearing on the 1992-1993 <br />Budget, including all funds in the following categories: (1) <br />General Fund, (2) Special Revenue Fund, (3) Debt Service Fund, (4) <br />Capital Project Fund, (5) Enterprise Fund, and (6) Trust and Agency <br />Fund. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to speak. Alma Briggs of the Food Bank stated she was <br />grateful for the recommendation for the funding for the Food Bank. <br />(2) R. G. Phillips stated copies of the budget and summary should <br />be more readily available and queried the Council regarding the <br />City's investments. Karen Brown of the Human Services Advisory <br />Board stated their letter to the Council had two sets of <br />recommendations, and she requested the Council consider the higher <br />budget if the City is able to do so. Ollie Giles stated there is a <br />need to extend the Meals on Wheels nutrition program to the Dunbar <br />area with Jackson Methodist Church as a site. The Council urged Ms. <br />Giles to work with the Meals on Wheels Program and CAPCO for the <br />expansion of the program. Tom Partin of EMS requested the Council <br />consider his request for additional staff to man an ambulance. He <br />stated there is a need to man both ambulances at the same time. <br />Ollie Giles requested the Council help Crisis Hotline locate a place <br />to operate free of charge. Mike Gividen asked what funding is in <br />the proposed budget to bring the City's buildings and permit process <br />* Mr. Hart present at 7:36 p.m.; Mr. Moore present at 7:38 p.m.; Mr. <br />Guerra left at 8:45 p.m. and returned at 11:30 p.m.; Mr. Plummer <br />was present at 9:19 p.m. <br />
