Jan Hardin of <br />the CVB stated they presently have a lease for $10 per year, but the <br />land is for sale, so they want to move the structure to the above <br />park location. They have envisioned an interpretive center being <br />included with their visitors' center. Mr. Gilley advised this site <br />would need work to be useable by removing existing paving and <br />replacing paving at an estimated cost of $24,000 (CVB has $4,500 for <br />the move of the building). The Council wants a plan in place before <br />a move is made, wants Staff to talk with Texas Parks and Wildlife <br />and to identify a source of funding. Ms. Hardin stated she hopes <br />the future will envision a permanent building. The council <br />requested Staff provide a unified concept at the next Council <br />Meeting. Mr. Gilley stated the City needs to ensure the integrity <br />of the park and our portion of that plan. Mr. Hernandez wants the <br />plan to include its use as parkland. <br />Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to Article <br />6252-17, Sections 2(e) and (f), V.A.C.S., to discuss pending <br />litigation (Sierra Club vs. Lujan, and matters where the duty of the <br />City Attorney to the city pursuant to the Code of Professional <br />Responsibility of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with <br />Article 6252-17; and value of real property, respectively. Mr. <br />Hernandez moved to adjourn at 10:40 p.m. and Mr. ~art seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Moore moved the Council reconvene at 11:13 p.m. and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration award of bid of the City <br />Lots at the corner of Bugg Lane and Houston Street.
