City Council Meeting Minutes January 28,2016 <br /> • Address marijuana prosecution issues. <br /> • Renew discussions of I-35 Overlay District regulations. <br /> • Develop 2017 Legislative Agenda. <br /> • Review and assess San Marcos River Initiative. <br /> • Determine if City Auditor position should be established and if so define role. <br /> • Develop flood prevention plans for neighborhoods—Blanco Gardens, <br /> Riviera, Riverside, Bogey Lane, Fairlawn Additions, Champion Crossing <br /> • Review the annexation/expansion policy including determining costs of <br /> service prior to annexation determination. <br /> • Determine and act on expansion of City Cemetery property. <br /> • Transportation systems <br /> • Discuss affordable housing for the City. <br /> • Establish accurate data and baseline information for the demographics of <br /> our city (impact of student population on our demographics) including traffic <br /> counts. <br /> • Focus on raising the economic status of the community(using baseline data). <br /> • Prosperity Initiative—provide a family living wage ($15/hr.) as baseline for <br /> every City employee. <br /> • Establish specific time frame for implementation and completion of all <br /> adopted Master Plans and bond issue projects. <br /> • Develop a "fix it forever" solution for Blanco Gardens. <br /> • Change City slogan. <br /> • Energize the airport property as an economic development asset. <br /> City of San Marcos Page 5 <br />
