The long -term forecast analysis is based on asset <br />replacement costs and provides a conservative asset renewal forecast since asset rehabilitation <br />costs are typically lower. The long -term forecast does not take into account future growth, <br />expansion, or changes to future installations. <br />8.2 Reuse Asset Survival Trends <br />Figure 8.4 shows the long -term forecast for the City's reuse system replacement and <br />rehabilitation through the year 2080. As shown in Figure 8.4, replacement or rehabilitation of <br />controls should begin around 2025 and represents the major reinvestment requirements until <br />2080 when major structures, pumps, piping and valves will begin to require some major <br />February 2016 Page 45 <br />
