53 Regular Meeting August 141 1995 Page 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY AND BELL AND HOWELL FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE JANITORIAL SERVICES; CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND AMERICAN MAID SERVICE; ¡ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT ON BEHALF ¡ OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS1 TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND DARRELL DODSON FOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE RIVER ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration Item 9.C. (4) removed from the consensus agenda, adoption of a Resolutionl the caption which was read as follows: ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND PROJECT CONTROL FOR ANALYSIS OF THE CLAIM OF LONGLEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY RELATED TO THE SAN MARCOS PUBLIC LIBRARY PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and amendment to Page 3 at the end of the paragraph that follows Section 4 of the agreement to read as follows, "Project Control agrees not to exceed this amount without the written approval of the City Manager 1 " and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration Item 9.D. removed from the consensus agenda 1 approval to authorize the sale of property known -- as the First Christian Churchl located on Lots 3 and 41 Block 15 of the Original Town of San Marcos. Mr. Guerra moved for approval to authorize the sale and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the Notice of Public Sale to set the minimum bid at $2001000.00 and Mr. Hart seconded the motionl which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for approval to authorize the sale. Mayor Morris introduced a discussion regarding the possible submission of Resolutions to Texas Municipal League and the National League of Cities. After a brief discussion it was consensus of Council to not submit any Resolutions to TML or NLC. Mayor Morris introduced the City Manager1s Report. Mr. Gilley had no report at this meeting. Mayor Morris introduced the City Attorney/s Report. Mr. Taylor had l no report at this meeting. : T , Mayor Morris introduced the City Council/s Report. (1) Mr. Hernandez stated he has received a request from Dr. Carlos Rodriguez - to have the City develop and clean up Allen Street or abandon it. He would like the street to be paved. Staff was directed to schedule a meeting with Dr. Rodriguez and to advise Messrs. Hernandez and Guerra of the meeting. (2) Mayor Morris asted if any Council Member was available to attend a meeting of area Mayors and City Managers on August 16~ No one was available.
