Morris <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Fred Guerra <br /> Robert Mooney <br /> council Members Billy G. Moore <br /> Ronald K. Hart <br /> Joe B. Cox, Jr. <br /> Rick Hernandez <br /> city Manager Larry Gilley <br /> Assistant City Manager Laura Huffman <br /> city Secretary Janis K. Womack <br /> City Attorney Mark Taylor <br /> Municipal Court Judge Ross Allegro <br />Also Present: Linda Rodriguez, Mario Gutierrez, Dee Hart, Melissa <br />Millecam, Scott Maier, Lolly Guerra, Phil Neighbor, Collette Duran, <br />Virginia Witte, Kim Doherty, Frank Arredondo, Andrea Guerra, Brandon <br />Hart, Chelsea Hart and Collin Hart. <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Morris stated the Council would canvass the returns of the <br />Special and General Election held May 6, 1995. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL <br /> AND GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 6, 1995 FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> ELECTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER~ PLACE ONE, AND A CITY COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER, PLACE TWO; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend section <br />3. A. to reflect Ronald K. Hart duly elected City Council Member, <br />Place One, section J.B. to reflect Fred Guerra duly elected city <br />Council Member, Place Two and to attach the tabulation of votes cast <br />and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The <br />Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on <br />emergency. <br />Mayor Morris then issued certificates of Election to Messrs. Hart <br />and Guerra and administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Hart and Judge \. <br />Linda Rodriguez administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Guerra. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration the election of the Mayor <br />Pro-Tem. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Robert Mooney as Mayor Pro-Tem <br />and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote <br />was recorded: <br /> AYE: Moore, Hart, Morris, Guerra, Cox, Hernandez. <br /> NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Mooney. <br />It was consensus of Council for Joe Cox to serve as the Alternate <br />Mayor Pro-Tem. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Hfrnandez <br />and seconded by Mr. Mooney. ~~i~ <br /> Mayor <br />
