106 <br />Regular Meeting April 24, 1995 Page 2 <br />Alternate Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart introduced for consideration <br />a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was <br />read as follows (Mayor Morris abstaining from discussion and voting <br />on this item because of her husband's interest in the property): <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY FROM OFFICE PROFESSIONAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR A 3.45 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1221 THORPE LANE AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hart opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak regarding this amendment. No one did, so Mr. Hart closed the <br />public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and <br />Mr. Mooney seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was <br />recorded: <br />AYE: Mooney, Hart, Cox, Hernandez. <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Morris. <br />i <br />Mr. Hart introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows (Mayor <br />Morris abstaining from discussion and voting on this item because of <br />her husband's interest in the property): <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 3.45 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1221 THORPE LANE FROM <br />"M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) <br />TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hart opened the public hearing and asked <br />speak regarding the amendment. No one did, <br />public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption <br />and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed <br />the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Zoning <br />Ordinance and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held April 10, 1995, adoption of two Ordinances <br />on third and final reading, adoption of eight Resolutions and <br />approval of an expenditure from the Tourist Account in the amount of <br />$800.00 in connection with the TML Exhibitor's Booth, October 25-28, <br />1995 in Dallas, Texas on consensus. The Council removed Items <br />7.C.(6) and 7.C.(7) to be considered separately.
