RESOLUTION 2016 -69R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH HALFF AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A 2D MODEL ENHANCEMENT AND 2015 BLANCO FLOOD ANALYSIS IN THE AMOUNT OF $124,200.00 WHICH INCLUDES AN INCREASE OF $77,600.00 (ACTS NO. 1) ABOVE THE PREVIOUS NOT -TO- EXCEED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $46,600.00; RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES NO. 1 ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS 1. On November 10, 2015 the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with Halff and Associates, Inc. for the provision of a 2D Model Enhancement and 2015 Blanco Flood Analysis in a not -to- exceed amount of $46,600.00. 2. Due to increases in project scope, it is necessary to increase the Agreement by $77,600.00. 3. The approval of ACIS No. 1 for $77,600.00 will cause the amount of the Agreement to increase from $46,600.00 to $124,200.00, which exceeds the threshold for administrative approval and triggers the need for City Council's approval of the Agreement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The Agreement between the City and Halff and Associates, Inc. for the provision of a 2D Model Enhancement and 2015 Blanco Flood Analysis in the not to exceed amount of $124,200.00, which includes an increase in price of $46,600.00, is approved. PART 2. The City Manager's execution of the Agreement on behalf of the City is ratified and the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute ACIS No. I on behalf of the City. PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this the 17th day of May, 2016. 1
