(3) Make city staff aware of special problems, including but not limited to <br />violations of the maintenance contract and vandalism; <br />(4) Meet periodically with city staff to develop projects, discuss problems, plan <br />capital improvements, discuss budgets and funding and consider other matters of <br />concern; <br />(5) Present plans to the eity sta council for needed improvements, including but <br />not limited to fence repairs and water line improvements, and make recommendations to <br />the eity sta city council on these improvements; <br />(6) Review bids for the cemetery maintenance contract and engineering work to <br />be prepared at the cemetery and make recommendations to the eity-sta city council for <br />selection of persons to perform the work; and <br />(7) Monitor the financial standing of the cemetery and make recommendations to <br />the eity sta city council for changes. <br />SECTION 2. In codifying the changes authorized by this ordinance, paragraphs, sections <br />and subsections may be renumbered and reformatted as appropriate consistent with the numbering <br />and formatting of the San Marcos City Code. <br />SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held <br />to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this <br />ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 5. This ordinance will take effect after its passage, approval and adoption on <br />second reading. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading on April 19, 2016. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on second reading on May 3, 2016. <br />� ani 1 Gue e <br />Mayor <br />
