(1) Dr. John Gervais introduced himself as the <br />new incubator manager for the Corridor Incubator. He stated he has <br />reviewed our incubator project, and that it is a solid foundation to <br />work on with much still to be done. He solicited the City's support <br />and stated he would be happy to meet with the Council at any time to <br />discuss details. (2) Bill Haney stated he reviewed the City's graph <br />passed out at the last Council meeting and was of the opinion it was <br />bad data, bad sampling done, and we need to cancel the program. (3) <br />Tom Anderson stated the SMCISD is willing to work with the city to <br />bring down the COD levels, and would rather pay for improvements to <br />get the levels reduced than pay the surcharge. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two <br />appointments to the Commission for Women to complete vacancies. Mr. <br />Moore moved to appoint Diann McCabe (who resides in the city limits) <br />and Susan Hanson (who resides outside the City), which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br />to the Library Board. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Merry <br />FitzPatrick on behalf of Mr. Cox who was not present at this <br />meeting, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING ORDINANCE 1994-42 <br />REGARDING SEWER SURCHARGE FEES TO REVISE THE SAMPLING PROCEDURE <br />REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL <br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />* Mr. Hart present at 7:34 p.m.; Mr. Guerra present at 7:58 p.m.; <br />Mr. Hernandez left the meeting at 10:00 p.m.; Mr. Cox not present <br />at this meeting; Mr. Taylor not present at this meeting. <br />
