AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND JARED HUNT MILLER FOR <br /> THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER <br /> City and Employee hereby mutually agree to this Amendment of the Employment Agreement <br /> previously entered into on December 17, 2013 as follows: <br /> 1. Section 5, Salary, Subpart B, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> All compensation shall be payable in installments at the same time as other employees of the City <br /> unless otherwise noted. The City agrees to pay Employee for his services rendered pursuant <br /> hereto: <br /> B. A car allowance of $800 per month.2. Section 8: Employee Benefits is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows <br /> The City shall provide for Employee's participation in the City of San Marcos retirement plan <br /> through the Texas Municipal Retirement System in a manner consistent with all other employees <br /> of the City and shall pay Employee for the Employee's 7% contribution. <br /> The City agrees to provide employee benefits for medical, dental, life insurance, disability and <br /> vision in accordance with normal City policy for general employees unless otherwise provided in <br /> this document. Additionally, the City agrees to pay Employee for the Employee's contributions for <br /> himself and his eligible dependents. Life insurance shall be provided Employee at three times his <br /> annual salary. <br /> 3. Section 14: Severance, Subsection A. Termination without cause, Subpart 2 is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> A. Termination without cause: <br /> 2. The City will pay the Employee a lump sum cash payment equal to six ( 6) months <br /> base salary. Forty-five days (45) of severance will accrue following the completion of <br /> each successive year of employment, up to a maximum severance payment of twelve <br /> (12) months. This payment is contingent upon a waiver and release of all claims <br /> against the City in a form acceptable to the City. <br /> 3. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in effect. <br /> 4.
