83 Regular Meeting May 23, 1994 Page 2 Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY' BY REZONING 0.094 AND 0.355 ACRE TRACTS OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 1201 ,~~.- - CHEATHAM STREET, FROM "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND I NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND "LB" (LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT), RESPECTIVELY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Hugh Anderson stated he was representing Redline Burgers if anyone wished to ask questions. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris'èlosed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. Mr. Patterson stated this zoning provides buffering. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: i AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 7.8 ACRES TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 1011 WONDER WORLD DRIVE, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "MF-4"(MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. Kelly Kilber stated he was there to answer any questions. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Mooney, Guerra, Cox. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Hart, Morris (conflict of interest, owe State Bank and Trust Company money). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.4 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 200 PATRICIA DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. Artie Arredondo stated he was present to answer any questions and plans to build a house on - this property. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Mooney moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
