<br />83 <br />Regular Meeting May 23, 1994 Page 2 <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY' BY REZONING <br />0.094 AND 0.355 ACRE TRACTS OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 1201 ,~~.- - <br />CHEATHAM STREET, FROM "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND I <br />NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) <br />AND "LB" (LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT), RESPECTIVELY, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. Hugh Anderson stated he was representing Redline Burgers if <br />anyone wished to ask questions. No one else wished to speak, so <br />Mayor Morris'èlosed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Patterson stated this zoning provides buffering. The Council <br />voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: i <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 7.8 ACRES TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 1011 WONDER WORLD <br />DRIVE, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "MF-4"(MULTI-FAMILY <br />DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. Kelly Kilber stated he <br />was there to answer any questions. No one else wished to speak, so <br />Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption <br />of the Ordinance and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion. On roll call <br />the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Moore, Mooney, Guerra, Cox. <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Hart, Morris (conflict of interest, owe State Bank and <br /> Trust Company money). <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 0.4 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 200 PATRICIA DRIVE, <br />FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. Artie Arredondo stated <br />he was present to answer any questions and plans to build a house on - <br />this property. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed <br />the public hearing.
