<br /> 33 <br />Regular Meeting April 25, 1994 Page 3 <br /> AYE: Moore, Mooney, Hart, Morris, Cox, Plummer. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of a <br />Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br /> A 0.45 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 616 MARTIN LUTHER <br /> KING DRIVE, FROM "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) <br /> TO "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Cox moved to reconsider the Ordinance and Mr. Hart seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Mr. <br />Plummer stated this matter was on for reconsideration to see if it <br />had been possible to work out a compromise with the neighbors to <br />this property. Kyev Tatum stated they had talked with the neighbors <br />over the last two weeks and were unable to reach a .compromise. He <br />requested the Council not reconsider this matter, and they would <br />consider other options for their project. He also requested the <br />City Council reconsider the following agenda item to return the land <br />use to Medium Density Residential. They had hoped to reach a <br />compromise with the neighbors and were unable to do so and do not <br />want to go against the wishes of the neighbors. Mr. Moore then <br />withdrew his motion for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Guerra <br />withdrew his second. No further action was taken, so the property <br />will remain zoned "MF-4" (Multi-Family District [High Density]). <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of a <br />Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br /> THE CITY, FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO PUBLIC FOR A 0.45 <br /> ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 616 MARTIN LUTHER KING DRIVE <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Moore moved to reconsider the Resolution and Mr. Hart seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Moore moved to deny the <br />land use amendment and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously, so the land use remains as Medium Density Residential. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of eight <br />Zoning Ordinances. No one wished to reconsider any of them.
