Mr. John Hohn <br />stated he owned the building at 110 E. San Antonio Street and he wanted to express his <br />concern about the vibration exposure to his historic building due to the construction <br />equipment being used. Mr. Hohn stated that the use of the earth roller shook the building <br />so hard that he feared for his life. Mr. Hohn stated he did not know how much longer these <br />buildings would last with all the construction going on. Mr. Hohn stated he expressed his <br />detail concerns to Mr. Gilley. Ms. Nina Wright, President representing the Hays County <br />Juvenile Probation Citizens Advisory Council, stated she wanted to let the Council know <br />she was in support of the Resolution to oppose Proposition 1. Ms. Wright stated she would <br />like the Council to go forward with the proposed Resolution. Mr. Larry Rasco stated he is <br />a local attorney and leases office space at 136 E. San Antonio Street. Mr. Rasco stated <br />he had been watching the construction project for four months and he understands the <br />I project is two months behind. Mr. Rasco stated there are many problems such as the <br />~ contractor placing bricks using sand instead of mortar. Mr. Rasco stated the sand washed <br />I away during the heavy rain and has caused the bricks to crack and gaps between the <br />bricks. Mr. Rasco stated the gaps have been storage for discarded cigarette butts and are <br />an eyesore and a hazard to people. Mr. Rasco stated there are bricks cracked in front of <br />his office door and the night before the concrete was poured several people decided to <br />autograph the concrete. Mr. Rasco stated he hoped this project would last for the next 30 <br />years or so but, the bricks are breaking down and the work will not last and it is not a <br /> <br />* Mayor Moore not present at this meeting. <br />* Mr. Guerra arrived at 7:40 p.m. <br />
