Mr. Felix Reyna stated he <br />was trying to get a permit to build a home in San Marcos. Mr. Reyna stated he had done <br />everything in his power to submit the blueprints to the Zoning Commission which were <br />required of him. Mr. Reyna stated he had encountered problems with his blueprints being <br />completely revised. Mr. Reyna stated he had corrected the errors on the blueprints and <br />they had been returned to him with continuous problems. Mr. Reyna stated he had spoken <br />to City Attorney, Mark Taylor and Mr. Taylor had advised him to place his concerns in <br />writing and have Mr. Bob Ronson help him submit them to the Planning Committee. Mr. <br />Reyna stated he did what Mr. Taylor had said and his permit was approved. Mr. Reyna <br />stated when he tried to obtain his permit no one was available for him to obtain his permit <br />causing him to receive red tags on his property for no landscaping, and various other <br />violations. Mr. Reyna stated when he finally came to get his permit the Planning <br />Department gave him a copy of the City Code CD14-10. Mr. Reyna stated he did not feel <br />he was violating any requirements according to this code because he was not running a <br />business; he was just building a home for himself. Mr. Reyna stated he would like these <br />problems resolved and was told to bring his concerns to the Council to make a decision. <br />Mayor Moore stated he would look into his problem and see how it could be resolved. Mr. <br />Wade Butler stated he was speaking on behalf of the family of Daisy and Jack Perkins (Mr. <br />Perkins being deceased), in regard to the change of Perkins Street in Oak Heights to Hood <br />Street. Mr. Wade stated in the 1950s Mr. Perkins put in the subdivision Oak Heights and <br />named some of the streets after his family and Perkins Street being one of those streets. <br />Mr. Wade stated the family was quite upset that they lived too far from Perkins Street in <br />order to get notification that the street was being changed. Mr. Wade stated they called <br />the necessary department and were told the street was changed because Perkins Street
