Mr. Gilley stated this was a reasonable request of a timing issue regarding the City's installation of a waterline. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, , the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SALE OF A 61.23 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE HAYS COUNTY CIVIC CENTER BY HAYS COUNTY, TRUSTEE¡ AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Mihalkani~ moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Mr. Gilley advised the property adjacent to this tract is being developed and they want to negotiate with the buyer of this property for a drainage easement and right-of-way for a street. Mr. Patterson advised this access would enhance this property. Mr. Hart stated it would be short sighted to sell this property now with a street being developed which would provide access for this property. Duane Force of the law offices of Calame, Linebarger, Graham & Penal stated if the City gets ~OO% recovery of what is owing, we would have to accept the bid. Mr. Gilley stated the City needs to meet with the County and School District and attorneys involved to develop a process for selling this tract. The Council voted unanimously to deny this Resolution. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM¡ AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion. Acting Chief Nelson advised the City is replacing five police cars this year, and Mr. Gilley advised he would find out how many are being replaced each year. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE FORM AND CONTENT OF NOTICE OF THE CITY'S INTENTION TO ISSUE WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS; RATIFYING, CONFIRMING AND APPROVING PUBLICATION OF SUCH NOTICE AND DIRECTING THE SECOND PUBLICATION THEREOF; AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson moved to amend the Resolution to . - change the amount of waterworks and sewer system revenue bonds not to exceed $2,500,000.00 and Mayor Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution.
